Gilbert Early

Gilbert Early has been painting portraits in the St. Louis area for more than 40 years. After graduating from the Washington University School of Fine Art in 1959, he worked for the Cooper Studio in New York until 1965. After returning to St. Louis with his family, he began his career as a portrait painter. Many commissions from private individuals, large corporations, universities, and state and local governments followed.

Gilbert Early Self-Portrait (1967)

One of the best and lasting tributes to a person is a well painted portrait that captures the likeness and spirit of the subject. Fine oil portraits aren't expensive, they're priceless.
